Since 2025, the Chinese government has further tightened its tungsten mining policies: the total mining quota for the first batch in 2025 was 58,000 tons, a decrease of 4,000 tons compared to the same period in 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 6.45%; the mining quota for 2026 was further reduced by 8%, with the legal annual output locked at 115,000 tons, a cumulative reduction of 14% compared to 2024.
