FANUC system keyboard definitions

ALTER Modify programs and code (Enter an address, such as X20.0, and press this key. The address at the cursor position will be replaced by X20.0.)

INSRT Insert Program (Move the cursor before the address to be inserted. For example, in the program "G01X30.0Y50.0F0.08;," to insert "G99" before "X30.0," first move the cursor to "G01," then enter "G99," and press this key.)

DELET Delete Program (To delete an address, such as "Y50.0" in "N1G01X30.0Y50.0F0.08;," move the cursor to "Y50.0," and press this key. To delete a block of program, such as "N1G01X30.0Y50.0F0.08;," enter N1 and press this key.)

EOB Complete a block (END OF BLOCK) (This key is like the ";" key. It indicates the end of a program segment. This key is used to end each program segment.)

CAN Cancel (used in EDIT or MDI MODE)

INPUT Enter program and code. This is often used when entering new programs.

OUTPUT START Outputs programs and commands

OFFSET Stores tool length and radius offset values

AUX GRAPH Displays graphics

PRGRM Displays program content

ALARM Displays alarm content or code

POS Displays coordinates (Press this key to display the current position of each machine axis. Absolute and relative positions are displayed, and the display can be switched, making it very convenient.)

DGONS PARAM Displays self-diagnosis and parameter functions

RESET Returns/Stops (This key is used to reset the program after modifying a section. In PROG mode, pressing this key returns the program cursor to the top of the program. Otherwise, pressing the start button to continue processing will cause an alarm.)

CURSOR Moves the cursor up and down (Similar to the up, down, left, and right keys on a computer keyboard. I believe everyone is familiar with this.)

PAGE Scrolls pages up and down (This key is effective for screens with more than one page.)

O Program numbers range from O0001 to O9999 (FANUC 21i-T has special instructions. Programs between O9000 and O9999 cannot be specified as they are internal system programs.)

N Sequence numbers range from N0001 to N9999 (Optional. For convenience, they can be set in segments, e.g., N1 for roughing, N2 for finishing, etc.)

G Preparation function code

X-axis motion direction command

Y-axis motion direction command

Z-axis motion direction command

H Length compensation function code

F Feed command (FANUC 21i-T has special instructions. When using G98, it refers to feed in mm/min. When using G99, it refers to feed in mm/rev.)

R Arc radius command

M Miscellaneous function command

S Spindle speed command

T Tool number (I'm aware of this, usually followed by two Arabic numerals.)

DNC Direct Numerical Control:

Due to the limited memory capacity of the CNC machine tool, programs are input from an external interface device, requiring simultaneous read-and-write (i.e., simultaneous program reception and execution). This is called a DNC operation. After the DNC operation is completed, the CNC machine tool's memory is lost, and the program input by the DNC is no longer in memory.

BACKGROUD EDIT Background Programming:

(BG-EDIT) While the CNC machine tool is performing automatic machining, another program can be input or edited simultaneously without stopping the machine.

MANU ABS Manual Absolute Value
