Cutting vibration is an unavoidable situation during CNC milling machine center 1165 machining. It refers to the vibration phenomenon that occurs during cutting.
In fact, reasonable cutting vibration has little effect on machining quality. However, once the cutting vibration is aggravated, there will be intense vibration with an amplitude of more than tens of μm, usually accompanied by a lot of noise. In the cutting process, if the vibration may exceed 100μm, there is a danger of loosening of the tool or workpiece. 100μm is often regarded as a criterion for judging whether the cutting vibration is reasonable. If the cutting vibration amplitude exceeds 100μm, the machining cannot be continued. When the amplitude is less than 100μm, although processing can be performed, obvious vibration scratches will remain on the processed surface, which is not allowed on the finished surface. Therefore, the cutting vibration must be limited within a reasonable range.

Considerable methods to solve cutting vibration
Arrange the tool path reasonably
Reasonable arrangement of the tool path is very important for cutting processing. Milling can be divided into down milling and up milling according to the positive and negative directions. Whether it is down milling or up milling, as long as the direction of the milling force is consistent with the clamping direction of the workpiece, it is beneficial to eliminate the vibration of the bent plate parts. Current milling equipment, such as CNC milling machines and vertical machining centers, are equipped with ball or roller screws, which greatly helps eliminate vibration during the cutting process.
Perform reasonable cutting
When a CNC milling machine uses a slender rod end mill to mill a deep cavity, plunge milling is often used. Plunge milling means that the tool feeds axially like a drill bit. When milling deep cavities. Usually the overhang of the long rod is greater than 3 times the diameter of the shank. We recommend using the plunge milling method of axial feed. Adjusting the cutting parameters may be effective only when the cutting vibration is not serious. The general adjustment method is as follows: reduce the rotation speed of the tool or workpiece, reduce the depth of cut and increase the amount of cutting per revolution of the tool or milling cutter. If vibration occurs during the turning of internal threads, the feed steps for thread turning can be reduced by 1 to 2 cuts. In addition, the use of positive rake angle and large relief angle of the blade with a brisk chip breaker. Such an insert has the smallest cutting wedge angle in filing or milling, and the cutting is brisk.
At the same time, the use of sharp blades can reduce the cutting force of the CNC milling machine. The timely grinding and repair of tools and the smoothness of the processing environment and ground are processing conditions that cannot be ignored.
