How to heat-treat large 14-meter-long parts and insert them into the ground. . .

In the machinery industry, we all know that in addition to precision and small miniature and small parts, there are also stupid and thick large parts. How are these large parts heat treated?

This is a 600,000-kilowatt steam turbine generator rotor after heating. It is nearly 14 meters in length and weighs 70 tons.

By comparing this rotor with the height of the engineer on the ground, we can intuitively perceive the size and length of this rotor.

This picture is about to enter the PAG quenching bath for quenching.

heat treatment

The rotor has all entered the PAG quenching liquid tank.

The quenching starts in the quenching tank, and the circulating stirring of the quenching liquid in the tank during the quenching process can obtain a better quenching effect.

The liquid discharge process after the rotor is quenched is the legendary "Hundred Quenched Steel".

This is a large deep well furnace, or a large pit furnace, which is generally used for the heat treatment of large diameter workpieces and annular large workpieces, and is also suitable for annealing, quenching, and tempering heat treatment of ultra-long and extra-long rods and shafts. Large-scale deep-well furnaces are about 30 meters deep.
