How to increase torque to lathe spindle?

 

Solution options:

1 Replace the spindle motor pulley with a smaller diameter. Because the spindle motor pulley is already very small, it is impossible to customize a smaller pulley.

2 Replace the spindle motor.

Plan a: Replace the spindle motor with a higher power and torque. Because the customer's original spindle motor and spindle driver are the bi series with a maximum power of 18.5KW. If you want to change to a higher power, you must choose the FANUC ai spindle driver, and you need to replace the entire FANUC driver. , the cost is huge.

Plan b: Replace the FANUC bip low-speed high-torque spindle motor, we choose bip30/6000

3 Compare the spindle motor installation dimensions diagram

Check the motor data to confirm that the flange size is consistent, and the diameter of the spindle motor shaft has increased from 48mm to 55mm. Reorder flange plate.

4. Turn on the machine tool and back up the original data of the machine tool.

5 Then install the replaced spindle motor, complete the above steps, and then take pictures of parameters 4000--4030. Then modify parameter No. 4133 (spindle motor ID) and the new motor is βISp30/8000. By searching the company's official account, we learned that the motor ID is 358, then modify parameter 4019.7 to 1 (spindle motor initialization parameter), and then restart the system for about a minute. An alarm occurs on the machine tool, as shown below:

For alarm SP9115, change parameter 11549#0=1. After shutting down and restarting, the alarm is eliminated.

6 Trial run the spindle with M03 S100 at low speed, then run it at high speed, listen to the spindle sound, and observe the spindle load. If there are no problems, test thread turning. If everything is normal, the spindle motor upgrade is completed.
