How to install the tool setter (1)? Introduction to tool setter

Nowadays, labor costs are getting higher and higher, and more and more machine tools are equipped with tool setter functions to achieve rapid tool setting. The tool setter can also be used for tool breakage detection. Common tool setters include Z-axis tool setter, Z-axis and diameter tool setter, and lathe tool setter. There are also broken tool detectors specifically designed to detect breakage.

(1) Z-axis tool setter

The Z-axis tool setter is as shown in the picture above, and there are 2 trigger switches inside. The upper switch is the tool setting signal, which is touched first during work. If there is a programming or operation error, the lower overtravel protection signal will take effect. The specific circuit diagram is as follows:

(2) Z-axis and radial tool setter

This kind of tool setter can measure tool diameter and length, and the price is much higher than the above-mentioned Z-direction length tool setter. The circuit diagram is as shown above for the Z-direction tool setter.

(3) Tool setter for lathes

Tool setters for lathes are usually installed on the robotic arm, which is troublesome to install and fix.

(4) Broken tool detector is only used for detecting broken tools on machine tools.

Because the broken tool detector is triggered by a long rod, it has only one detection signal and no overtravel signal. The detection speed is faster and there is no risk of collision.
