Dry machinery, especially automation, often has to leave home
At present, children in big cities seldom study mechanical or other traditional engineering subjects. If they have good academic performance, they choose medical and financial IT. Business units do odd jobs. The reason is that traditional engineering is more tiring than liberal arts, and has lower income than emerging industries. Second-generation farmers who study machinery, electricity, or mechatronics mainly focus on the high employment rate. Machinery is a panacea. As long as there are factories, mechanical engineers are needed. However, it is difficult for machinery in remote areas to find employment, and there are very few jobs. A customer engineer in a third-tier city of mine said that many of their engineers earn five to six thousand a month, which is good, after all, you can still find a job. I have been in the industry for so long, and I have seen relatively high annual income of 50-60W, mechanical engineers, mainly in design and management. These people are mainly engaged in industries such as semiconductors, precision machinery, automotive equipment, medical equipment, and visual computing. Most of them are graduates from prestigious schools, 985 postgraduates or doctors. The proportion of people with this income is actually not very high, not even 1%. If it is financial IT, it may not be considered high. Many people earn three to four hundred thousand a year, or even four to five million. The department salary is 1.8 million. But the mechanics are different. A matter of industry profits, not individuals.
The proportion of engineers who start a business is actually higher than 1%, and it can easily reach 400,000 to 500,000 to 500,000 to 600,000, but they are just working hard and worrying about themselves. Or for sales work, start with technology. When you are a technical salesman, you also need to contact customers, but hundreds of thousands a year will not be too little. Most people will say, I can only do mechanical design, I can’t drink alcohol or have poor communication skills in sales, and I have no capital and no opportunities to start a business, so I can only work part-time, or work in a private company. Many engineers are in this state, some are almost forty years old, and they are still doing non-standard work, because there is no other way to go, and they can only count as one year after one year, but at any rate, the machinery industry has been okay for the past two years. It's okay to eat a bowl of rice. In this way, you don’t have to work alone, and the income of the husband and wife is at least double-insured.
If you can reach the top salary, it is actually not a big problem to settle down in a first-tier city. But the current first-tier cities are actually not very friendly to dry machinery. Many have moved to live and work in second-tier cities instead. Then an income of more than 200,000 yuan a year is actually enough. And this income is relatively easy to achieve for mechanical automation engineers. If the other half has a decent job, then life is fine. Everyone thinks that the wages of mechanical engineers in Japan and Germany are relatively high. In fact, Germany also has a high income in finance, and Munich, Frankfurt, where housing prices are the highest, also has a lot of finance. The income of ordinary Germans is generally two to three thousand euros after tax.
