The basic content of CNC vertical center v1165 programming and operation is inseparable from the determination of cutting parameters. The cutting parameters of machining centers are basically the same as those of ordinary milling machines, so ordinary milling machine operations are the basis of machining center programming and operation. However, the machining center is slightly different from ordinary milling machines in terms of milling parameter formulation.
In the cutting process, if the cutting amount is selected properly, it can give full play to the functions of the machine tool and cutting tools to obtain the maximum benefit of production; if the choice is improper, it will cause a lot of waste or cause production accidents, which must be taken seriously.
(1) Principles of cutting amount selection
The cutting amount of the machining center includes; the amount of back cutting (cutting depth), side cutting, spindle speed or cutting speed (for constant linear speed cutting), feed speed or feed rate.
Determine the basic principles of the three elements; first determine the amount of back-grabbing according to the cutting requirements, then look up the table to get the feed, and then look up the table to calculate the main cutting speed through the formula.
In many cases, we can determine the value of these three elements through empirical data.
(2) Reasonable choice of cutting amount
The choice of cutting amount is related to many factors such as machine tool, tool, workpiece and technology. The method of reasonably selecting the processing dosage is as follows (qualitative analysis).
1. Roughing
Choose a larger back-cutting amount, larger feed amount, and cutting speed. Choose low to medium speed.
2. Finishing
Choose a smaller back-cutting amount, smaller feed amount, and cutting speed. Choose a higher speed.
When roughing, it is generally necessary to give full play to the potential of the machine tool and the cutting ability of the tool. When semi-finishing and finishing, the emphasis should be on how to ensure the quality of the processing, and on this basis, try to increase productivity. When choosing the cutting amount, you should ensure that the tool can complete a part or ensure that the durability of the tool is not less than one work shift, and at least not less than half the working time of the work shift. The specific value should be selected according to the specifications in the machine tool manual, tool durability and practical experience.
3. Determining the amount of back and side knives
The back-cutting amount a is the size of the cutting layer measured parallel to the axis of the milling cutter. In milling, a is the depth of the cutting layer; in peripheral milling, ap is the width of the machined surface. The side cutting ae is the size of the cutting layer measured perpendicular to the axis of the milling cutter. In face milling, ae is the width of the machined surface; in peripheral milling, ae is the depth of the cutting layer.
