Selection of cutting tools for processing thin-walled parts

Choose a tool with a larger leading angle to reduce the cutting force on the workpiece in the axial direction.

because:

The size of the tool's main deflection angle will affect the direction of the cutting force.

A larger entering angle will generate larger cutting forces in the infeed direction, which means that the workpiece surface being processed will not be subject to high axial pressure

The leading angle is the angle between the main cutting edge of the insert and the surface of the workpiece

Common leading angles are:
90 degrees, 45 degrees, 10 degrees (milling)
