Summary of 6 CAD mapping techniques, now it’s much more convenient!

If we can obtain electronic CAD drawings when we usually deal with projects, it will save us a lot of drawing processes, which will not only improve efficiency but also accuracy. However, due to some non-standard drawings and other reasons, it is not always smooth when we import CAD drawings into the software. So when you find that the electronic drawing guide does not come in or is incomplete, do you give up, or do you try some methods and methods? Tips to successfully import it? Today the editor has brought you the problems you will encounter when using maps and their solutions. If it is good, give it a like!

How to solve the problem of small display of CAD drawings after importing them?

After the CAD drawing is imported into the software, it is displayed very small. Even if it is maximized, it is still displayed very small. But when opened with CAD software, it can be displayed normally. This is because there are other primitives in the CAD drawing. This primitive may be just a small point or a short line segment, which is far away from the drawing we want to import. It can only be seen when viewing it in full screen in CAD.

Solution:

Open the file with CAD software, double-click the scroll wheel in the middle of the mouse to display the full screen. If you look carefully at this time, you will find that in addition to the picture we want to import, there is a small dot in the interface. Pull the box to select and delete this dot. That's it.

How to solve the problem of misalignment between components and axis network?

The grid has been identified, and I started to import the next drawing, the column diagram. However, after importing, I found that the positions of the columns were all strung out, and they did not coincide with the recognized grid positions. The coordinate origin of the identified grid is not the same as the coordinate origin of the imported drawing, so the imported column positions are misaligned.

Solution:

After the grid has been identified, all CAD drawings imported in the future must be repositioned to ensure the accuracy of the imported components. Click and then use Capture to capture a certain point in the CAD drawing just imported. Generally, it is best to locate the lower left corner of the drawing. The intersection point, and then let this point coincide with the point at the same position of the imported grid.

Components that are displayed normally cannot be imported sometimes?

After the CAD drawing is imported into the software, it can be displayed normally, but the components cannot be imported. Some CAD files use "external references", which refer to blocks on other CAD files. If such files are recognized, it may fail. Because although walls, beams, slabs, columns and axes can be seen, they do not belong to the CAD file itself, so nothing is obtained when reading the line data.

Solution:

Use the "External Reference Manager" under the "Insert" menu of AutoCAD to find which CAD file blocks it references. The referenced CAD file is the real readable file. Once found, select "Bind" and save to identify it.

What should I do if the identified column dimensions are inconsistent with the markings in the CAD drawing?

The dimensions of the identified columns were found to be different from those marked on the CAD drawing. It is currently found that this problem may be caused by two reasons. The specific solution can only be determined by analyzing the drawings.

Cause of the problem 1: Possibly due to the proportion of the CAD file, the dimensions marked in some drawings do not match their actual dimensions at all. During the process of identifying components, the software identifies them according to their actual dimensions rather than the dimensions, which results in the recognized components being different from the dimensions. The dimensions marked on the CAD drawing do not match.

Solution 1:

The first step after opening the drawing is to use the CAD query tool to query the proportion of the drawing. Note: Do not query the dimensions marked on the axis! (It has been found that the dimension of some drawings is not proportional to the dimension of the column section). Query the actual pixels of the column and the dimension of the dimension. Remember the ratio. For example, the actual size of the column is 3600mm. , and the marked size is 5400mm. Then when importing the CAD drawing, the ratio of actual dimensions to marked dimensions can be directly entered as 2:3. In this way, the dimensions of the identified columns will be correct.

Cause of the problem 2: When the imported CAD project is large, the insertion point is too far away from the default origin of the system, causing the size of the column to change after recognition. For example, the actual dimension is 400*400, but after recognition it is 600*800.

Solution 2:

Open the file with CAD software and check the origin coordinates.

Customization of CAD mapping environment?

Since it is often necessary to switch the display state of CAD in CAD maps, the shortcut key F6 for displaying CAD graphics does not work in some drawing states. This is due to the proportion of the CAD file. The dimensions of some drawings are not consistent with their actual sizes. During the process of identifying components, the software identifies them according to their actual sizes instead of marking the dimensions. Therefore, the identified components are different from the CAD drawings. The size does not match.

Solution:

Click Tools → Options and assign an uncommon hotkey letter (such as: A) to "CAD drawing". In the future, whenever you want to show or hide the CAD drawing, just press "A".

How to import CAD with many drawings?

There are many drawings in a CAD file, how to import them? Some CAD electronic drawings design all drawings of a building or structure in one DWG file. The software can only import one drawing at a time, so there are many drawings in one file that the software cannot import directly.

Solution:

Import the DWG file into the graphics software, and then pull the box to select the drawings to be imported. At this time, the selected part is displayed as a blue dotted line. Then, we pull the box to select all the drawings, because the software provides us with a reverse The selection function, so when a picture is selected, and then all the drawings are selected in the pull box, at this time, except the drawing we just selected, all others are selected. Then click "Delete". This will delete other images that do not need to be imported at once. Just import the selected drawing directly.
