Ten tips on CNC lathe 8Inch with FANUC processing to help you solve the problem of wrapping tool

1. For CNC lathe 8" with FANUC machining the outer circle of the blank, a bevel angle should be turned at the starting point.

2. Chips are most likely to be entangled at the beginning of the fine turning, the speed is appropriately reduced, the feed rate does not need to be too slow, start chamfering, retract the tool by 3 mm, let the chamfered iron filings discharge, increase the speed, and then use the following rod diameter. The feed rate can be linear turning.

3. The current shaft diameter allowance should be adjusted evenly during rough turning, and no taper (except sometimes to reduce the vibration of the tool). Then gradually increase or decrease the margin (increase or decrease by 0.2mm) to solve the problem.

4. The cutting fluid must be poured on the cutting part of the tool tip, and the position of the tool tip of the entire shaft must be taken into account.

5. The main deviation angle should not be too small. If there is no actual need, try to make it bigger. When the non-right-angle stepped shaft is used, the entering angle is usually 75°.

6. Rotation speed and feed speed.

1) When turning the slot cutter, the faster the speed, the easier it is to entangle, especially at the starting point, the speed should be reduced, and the feed speed should be increased if necessary.

2) For the chipping knife, you only need to increase the feed speed. (Attention should be paid to ensure the roughness)

7. When cutting grooves with an ordinary triangular groove knife, when cutting grooves with a depth of about 1mm or 2mm without strict regulations, the margin becomes more when the blank margin is added. In addition, in this case, to ensure that the two sides of the groove wall are symmetrical and The angle of the groove wall, the entering angle is small, so it is particularly easy to entangle the chips.

1) First cut a section of the blank with the same diameter as the outer circle at both ends, and then go to the outer circle of the blank with an oblique angle, which is smaller than the lead angle of the current cutter. Then return to the outer circle and start grooving. The feed speed should not be too slow, the speed should be matched, and the speed must not be too fast (when the feedrate override is 150%, the programming "F" value is about 160 to 260, the spindle The speed is about 1500~1700r/min, but it is not necessary to be in this range. It is determined by yourself according to the actual situation and product needs, machine tool performance and lathe experience).

2) For the sake of safety, reduce the probability of entanglement and ensure that the corner burrs caused by the excessive margin and the secondary deflection angle rubbing the workpiece are reduced. It is better to divide the turning into two tools. When rough turning, reduce the speed appropriately, and increase the feed rate appropriately to increase the turning, and reserve a small margin for fine turning. Increase the speed and feed rate during finishing to ensure roughness and aging.

8. The material of the product needs to choose a tool of suitable hardness. The product with soft material needs a slot knife with sharp blade and very smooth chip removal. The product with hard material needs a slightly blunt blade. You can choose a chip knife, but it will not exist. Crumbs.

9. When using a grooved knife, don't let the iron filings fall vertically from the tip of the tool. You should install an iron hook to allow the iron filings to hang down a certain distance from the workpiece.

10. When processing aluminum parts, do not use ordinary steel turning blades to turn aluminum, and do not add cutting fluid, which will oxidize. Aluminum blades generally have a rake angle of 35°~45°. The tip must be sharp, the speed must be high, and the linear speed should be around 800, which means you can drive as fast as possible. The feed F value is larger, which is good for chip breaking. Aluminum generally has a large rake angle, so choose a suitable blade, and note that aluminum is a non-ferrous metal. If you use a steel blade, it must be of poor quality and it is easy to pierce the knife.
