1. The difference between machining center and CNC milling machine


Machining center: There is a tool magazine, and multiple tools need to be replaced during the complex process of the product. The repeatability is high and it is suitable for mass production.


CNC milling machine: no tool magazine, single product, no repeatability, no need to change tools frequently, suitable for processing abrasive tools and other products.


Therefore, based on the above characteristics, we can know that the machining center needs to replace multiple tools when processing a part, and the length and size of each tool will be different, so we adjust the corresponding tool length compensation after changing the tool to achieve The purpose of the knife. In the CNC system, G43 H (tool number) Z (height) is used to realize the compensation of different tools. On the CNC milling machine, we can directly input the coordinate points of the Z axis in the G54 coordinate system to achieve tool setting.


2. Tool setting and setting of Z axis


First, we will number the tools and perform tool setting in sequence, such as T1 tool, adjust the machine tool to the position of the handwheel, hit the Z axis on the handwheel, and select the magnification. Move the tip of the tool to the upper surface of the workpiece. According to the needs, we can adopt the method of trial cutting. For those with high precision, we can use the height tool setting instrument to measure. If the requirements are not high, we can use the observation method to fine-tune to the position we need, of course, be careful not to hit the knife.


After the position is determined, let's look at the Z coordinate value on the display panel. Note that what we want to look at is the mechanical coordinate value. Then find the tool offset setting button (offset setting), find the offset key on the interface, and enter the current mechanical coordinate value of the Z axis that we wrote down in the shape H. Use the enter key button to enter the input. When the tool is worn, we can enter the corresponding value in the wear.


Note that the number of the tool should correspond to the number of the correction interface one-to-one. There is no error when calling the program.
