However, friends often ask me that my 1815 cannot be set, or it requires you to manually move a certain distance before setting it. So how do we solve this problem?
Proceed as follows:
1 Make sure your servo motor is an absolute position encoder. After opening the back cover of the absolute position encoder, there is a capacitor as shown below:
2 Make sure the encoder wire plug is powered by a 6V battery (anything above 4.5V is acceptable), and measure the voltage between pins 4 and 7.

3 When conditions 1 and 2 are met, 1815 sets the origin.
When the setting is unsuccessful, the steps
a Shut down
b Unplug the 24V power supply of the axis of the driver (CX19B plug or CXA2A plug)

c. When you turn on the computer, a 5136 alarm will appear. Set 1815.4 and 1815.5 (it will definitely succeed)
d. Shut down the computer and unplug the cable to restore it.
e. When power is turned on and there is no alarm, the setting is successful.
