Preparatory work for mold etching
1. In the early stage of mold design, confirm whether etching is required. If necessary, adjust the demoulding angle during mold design
to be counted;
2. Mold puncture position, if possible, process the PL boundary line with CNC machine at the initial stage of mold processing
on the mold. If it cannot be done in the early stage, the PL boundary line must be drawn on the mold with CNC machining before the mold is sent to the etching factory. The etching factory cannot accurately draw the line, and subsequent problems are not easy to repair;
3. Polishing requirements for etched surface:
a, where the etched surface needs to be polished to at least #800 sandpaper, and the polishing requirements for fine lines (about 15um) need to reach #1000 sandpaper;
b. The etched surface should not have sand holes, fire patterns, machined knife marks, R angle polishing and other adverse conditions;
4. PL line requirements:
a. There must be no bad conditions such as running cloaks and stage differences;
b. If the above problems are not solved, the situation will be more serious after etching;
Preparatory work for mold etching
5. Mold welding problem:
a, In principle, welding is not allowed in the etched area;
b. If welding is really needed, it is recommended to use argon arc welding in large areas. The welding material is made of steel. , the welding of the sky area cannot be repaired by hand);
c, small welding area (small sand holes) can be suggested to burn laser welding, small area laser welding can be followed by manual repair;
d, Regardless of argon arc welding or laser welding, as long as there is welding, the texture effect will definitely have some differences due to welding;
6. Latte art problem:
a, The demoulding angle is not enough for latte art, increase the demoulding angle to improve latte art. There must be no scratches on the bare board before etching. If there are scratches on the bare board, there will be scratches in the corresponding area after etching and it will be difficult to repair later;
b. The product has structural garlands, the mold release angle is sufficient but the garlands are caused by the product structure, such as the inner side of the instrument cover, and the surrounding deep structure is prone to garlands on the inner side and the R-angle surface due to the product's glue force, so The depth of structural etching needs to be treated shallowly, so there will still be a risk of scratches after etching, and the later repair and improvement cannot be repaired at once.
