Stop using brute force to tighten rusty screws.

 

Many people have encountered the situation where they want to unscrew a screw, but find it's rusted and impossible to remove. Today, we'll share some tips on how to easily unscrew rusted screws. Let's take a look!

1. First, use a wrench to tighten the screw, then tap the wrench handle with a hammer. After a few taps, the rust inside will loosen, making it much easier to unscrew.

2. You can also use a heat method. Heat the screw and nut thoroughly with an oxidizing flame from a gas welding torch for a while, then drip a few drops of oil onto the red-hot screw to allow it to cool quickly. This increases the gap between the screw and nut, making it easier to unscrew.

Open the oil filler plug, fill the manual oil pump box with hydraulic oil, and close the unloading valve;

Place the head hole of the splitter onto the nut to be split, and place it upright and flat;

Pump the manual oil pump to push the splitter forward and into the nut. When the splitter is halfway into the nut, carefully pump the pump to avoid excessive force that could quickly split the nut and damage the bolt threads;

When you hear a "snap" sound, it means the nut has been split, stop pumping;

Unscrew the unloading valve, the splitter will return to its original position, remove the splitter, and the work is complete.

6. Use screw loosening agent. Screw loosening agent is a liquid chemical that acts on the contact surface between the screw and the tool, increasing contact friction.
