What should I do if there is an SP9012 alarm on the FANUC system?

Fault phenomenon:

The CNC system uses the 0i-MD system. During maintenance, a βiSVSP servo amplifier of the same specification was replaced, equipped with βi servo motors and spindle motors. During debugging, the three servo axes could operate normally, but when the spindle rotation command was just given, the The SP9012 alarm occurs when the spindle is not rotating.

cause of issue:

Possible reasons for alarm SP9012 after consulting the data include:

1. Motor power cable failure

2. Motor insulation failure

3. The inherent parameters of the motor are not set correctly.

4. βiSVSP failure

Failure analysis:

1. According to the fault phenomenon, the possibility of βiSVSP failure is unlikely because βiSVSP is a newly replaced product.

2. Motor insulation failure is possible. You can use a multimeter to detect whether there is contact failure in the motor.

3. There should be no problem with the motor parameters because the newly replaced βiSVSP has the same specifications.

4. Motor power cable failure is possible, because replacing βiSVSP requires disassembly and assembly of the spindle motor wires. If the wires are connected incorrectly (such as short circuit, grounding or wrong connection), it will cause overcurrent in the motor.

Troubleshooting:

The inspection revealed that the fault was caused by the reverse phase sequence of the power cables.
