We know that machining center in cnc 1165 is a kind of CNC machine tool with a wide range of uses. The machining center can process planes, grooves, tooth parts, spiral surfaces and various curved surfaces on the machining center. Not only that, it can also process the surface of the revolving body, the thread of the inner hole, and perform surface cutting work. 3D printing using metal powder as raw material can complete the mold forming in one step. Will the development of 3D printing technology eliminate the equipment such as processing centers?
It can be imagined that if we want to mill a hollow iron ball with a machining center, we must first find a piece of high plastic steel that is large enough to make a square, then mill it layer by layer with a ball cutter, mill out two semicircles, and then weld them together by electric welding. However, the spherical shape is not considered to be a particularly complex mold, and it also requires the subsequent processing of welding. If you use 3d printing, you can not only complete the spherical shape in one step, but also do not need electric welding. Can such a simple processing method replace the traditional processing center processing?
3D printing can't replace machining center processing within a period of time.
Demonstration of five-axis machining center products
At present, the shortcomings of 3D printing technology are that it is difficult to mass-produce in factories, the processing capacity is lower than that of traditional processing, and it cannot penetrate the production line in the short term due to factors such as cost and technology popularization. In fact, the reason is not only that.
When the machining center is working, the workpiece is mounted on the worktable or the indexing head and other accessories, and the milling cutter rotates as the main motion, supplemented by the feed motion of the worktable or the milling head, and the workpiece can obtain the required processing surface. Due to the multi-edge intermittent cutting, the productivity of the machining center is high. And the finish of the workpiece mold can be guaranteed to the greatest extent. At present, the surface of 3D printed products is still very rough. Machining centers and 3D printers with the same price and processing performance can't compare with processing centers in terms of product finish and processing accuracy. Not only that, the strength of the 3D printed product is not comparable to that of a whole piece of metal, and the precision and strength of the product surface finish are the most basic and most important requirements for tooling and tooling. Many costs, technical issues need to be resolved. With the continuous upgrading of traditional processing technology, traditional processing technology will not gradually decline in the future processing market. It will go hand in hand with new technologies such as 3D printing and develop together.
